Deadly Mercury |

The Epidemic Causing Epidemics |

There is a myth out there that mercury is the second most poisonous substance on earth behind plutonium. It may be more accurate to say mercury is one of the most toxic elements on earth. The poisonous effect depends on the form of mercury, such as elemental mercury, organic methylmercury, and mercury salts. How Toxic is Mercury? Studying mercury at Dartmouth, a professor accidentally spilled two drops of dimethylmercury on her skin. Her speech blurred, she became blind, fell into a coma and died 144 days later. Desperate for money, a father decided to melt down “silver” dental fillings and resell the precious metal for a profit. He did not know that fillings contain 50% mercury. By the time the metal liquefied in a pan on his kitchen stove he, his wife, and son were all dead from the fumes. A mere teaspoon of mercury dropped into a 25 acre lake is enough to make all the fish too poisonous for human consumption. Mercury's synergistic effects are worse than mercury alone, as as revealed by the following scientific results. Research confirms that a small amount of mercury kills 1% of rats. A small amount of aluminum kills 1% of rats. The same small amounts of mercury and aluminum combined together kill 100% of rats. Your body contains small amounts mercury and aluminum. The statistics and effects described in this article are likely to be much more harmful to your health because the mercury in your body will combine with other heavy metals like aluminum, which are also present in your body. Some other toxins as deadly as mercury are cyanide, rincin, cobra and black widow spider venom, lead, uranium, and arsenic. The problem with mercury is that these other poisons are highly controlled and rarely poison people, while mercury is abundant and in everyone’s body. Many experts believe 90% of the American population has chronic mercury poisoning. If mercury is that toxic, are any levels of mercury acceptable in our bodies? Would you allow just a little black widow venom in your blood, or just a tiny bit of cyanide—the poison pill that captured CIA spies take to commit suicide? A Reason to Hope This article may be scary, so before we begin I want you to know there is hope. YOU CAN HEAL YOURSELF if you have any of these symptoms or diseases. You have an excellent chance of recovery if you follow the suggestions in Action Step #1 and Action Step #2. If you feel overwhelmed at any time, or if you feel helpless and frightened, please skip ahead and read those sections. LiveLikeTim is not a fear-based website, but I found it necessary to use strong language and convincing arguements that will impress upon you that this may be the worst problem in the world today. Although I believe other things like pesticides, BPAs from plastic bottles, genetically modified organisms (GMOs), growth hormones, etc. are serious issues, but they pale in comparison to the urgency and severity of the mercury epidemic. You can help yourself if you heed my warning, and I hope you take action immeditaely.
Our environment contains mercury from natural sources like volcanoes, but the industrial burning of coal for electricity has spurted tons of mercury from smoke stacks, or around 88,000 pounds per year in America. China's emissions are worse and increasing.
A study led by scientists from Harvard and the US Geological Survey estimates that mercury levels in the Pacific Ocean will rise 50% within the next few decades as emissions from coal-fired power plants and other sources increase. In the last 20 years the mercury levels have risen 30%. By 2050 the mercury content of the oceans will double the levels found in 1995. The 1995 levels were already so toxic many species of fish were poisonous. The frightening truth is that within 40 years nearly every wild caught fish on earth will be inedible unless worldwide action is taken. |
