Articles Many sites have a list of articles that are loosely categorized into major topics. There may be more than one article on a subject, and newer articles often repeat portions of earlier articles but leave out other important sections. You’d need to reread every article just to figure out the latest and best information. That system seemed extremely inefficient and time consuming! I don’t want 10 articles on weight loss, I want one really good article with the most up to date information. The website is full of “running” articles (and routines), meaning that I update the current article as I learn about new studies or perspectives. I assimilate the newest information for you! At the top of the article there is an “Original Post Date” and “Last Updated On” indicator so you know how current the article is. The normal text is brown, and new information is added in green. You can hover your mouse over the new material to see what date it was added. Check back often because I’m constantly updating the site. I get the content for each article from a variety of sources—cutting edge research, interviews with experts, anthropological and genetic studies, historical perspectives, ancient religious and cultural principles, observations of modern culture, popular media, etc. I have a ridiculous amount of subscriptions to keep the information flowing, and research topics at great length when they pique my interest. Every topic has controversy, but I usually ignore the bickering and focus on the more relevant practical implications. I stay away from speculative “radical” theories. Conversely, I don’t only rely on indisputable scientific fact when logical correlations exist. In other words, I try not to be a conspiracy nut or a complete skeptic—a logical, moderate approach works best for me. Under the Current tab of each article, located on the top left of each page, there is a table of contents for easy navigation. I summarize the main points of each article at the beginning and include a video for people who prefer not to read. A more in depth discussion follows the summary. The Current tab also contains links to the Routines I’ve created for each topic. On the right side of the screen you’ll see a list of Featured products that I believe are particularly beneficial regarding the issues covered in the article. Blog The blog is devoted to breaking news and hot topics. The knowledge contained in each blog is incorporated into the running articles and routines, but blog posts may explain the newest finding more than the running articles. Blog posts are usually submitted on the Forum as well, which allows new users to search their favorite topics without having to reread every blog. I read and appreciate all comments, so please post your reactions and opinions. I incorporate the best suggestions into the Routines, so you can impact my life as well as thousands of others with your pearls of wisdom. If enough people share their insights and experiences, eventually we’ll have a pretty amazing list of life’s best practices! You can also follow me on Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, Flickr, Yelp, Myspace, Friendster, and lots more. Or you can subscribe to my RSS feed and stay informed of the latest LiveLikeTim updates automatically. Forum The Forum is designed as a meeting place for LiveLikeTim members to share their opinions and tips, or discuss their favorite topics. I review the Forum posts and if I find a particularly good suggestion I add it to a routine. You can tell me how to live! If you encounter a tip that works well that other people will benefit from, please share. Questions about problems you may be experiencing are welcome as well. Tell A Friend At the bottom right of every page is a Tell A Friend button. If you find my website helpful I would appreciate you referring your friends and family. The Tell A Friend program allows you to access the address book or contact list from the largest email, blog, and social networking websites, such as Yahoo!Mail, Gmail, Facebook, Myspace, AOL, MSN, Wordpress, Blogger, Delicious, Digg, and many more. I DO NOT CAPTURE ANY EMAIL ADDRESSES OR PASSWORDS, AND YOUR CONTACTS WILL NOT BE PUT ON A MAILING LIST OR RECEIVE SPAM. You can access the Privacy Policy on the bottom right of the page, or you can read about the TRUSTe Privacy Seal Program on the Tell A Friend page. Thank you for spreading the word about LiveLikeTim! |
